Four decades, hard to believe it's been that long. When I look back at our time together, I remember that it was mostly good and an enjoyable part of life. Naturally there were some rough patches; we had to learn some things in and out of the classroom, and we lost a few special friends along the way. But again, the good far outweighed the bad.
When it comes up in conversation, without reservation I tell people that I graduated from Mars. Some of them readily believe it, thinking yeah, he talks funny, definitely an alien; others want an explanation. I am okay with where we started.
I look forward to visiting at the reunion. In these challenging times, I hope that our classmates, friends and families are doing well.
